Today is the birthday of someone who encourages me with his wisdom words.

Sebenarnya aku enggak pernah jumpa langsung sama orang ini—cuma sekedar kenal dalam artian I know his name, age and another common things yang diketahui banyak orang. But I realize that he is amazing.

Entahlah, terkadang mengagumi seseorang itu enggak butuh alasan apa-apa.

Because it’s him—bukan orang lain.

7200 hari tinggal di bumi itu bukan sesuatu yang terlalu mudah untuk dijalani. Ada usaha dan kerja keras disana.
Dan aku masih minta sama Allah buat dipertemukan sama orang ini. Dia luar biasa—bagi aku.

Wonderwall. A song belongs to Oasis.

When I was in middle school, I listened to this song for the first time. And I love it. This is one of my favorite songs so I tried to search the meaning of this song at the time.

Waktu itu, aku cari arti wonderwall dalam bahasa Indonesia dan artinya “orang yang selalu kita pikirkan”. Okay, it made sense.

Dan, belum lama ini, setelah tamat kelas reguler di salah satu English course, I continued my English learning by taking a conversation class in the same place.

My teacher asked us about our favorite song. Then, I said wonderwall is one of my favorite songs. She thought and asked me if I have known the meaning of that song.

Dengan pengetahuan dasar tentang wonderwall yang aku tau dari google ketika SMP, I said wonderwall meant someone who is always in our mind. Dan aku juga bilang ke gurunya, kalau lagunya menceritakan tentang seseorang yang udah melindungi si penyanyi, sehingga si penyanyi selalu memikirkannya (penyanyi disini bukan mengarah ke Oasis sih, but it depends on someone who sings this song dan untuk siapa lagunya dipersembahkan).

Lirik itu yang membuat aku berpikir bahwa wonderwall mempunya meaning tentang seseorang yang merasa dilindungi oleh orang lain.

Guruku bilang, dia akan cari lagi arti wonderwall because she forgot about it. Jadi, minggu depannya, dia datang tapi lupa soal wonderwall. Aku juga. But, tiba-tiba pembelajaran conversation berubah jadi tanya jawab soal lagu—lagi. I forgot why we could talk about our favorite song, padahal pelajaran sebelumnya adalah tentang how quickly we remember and forget something. Yeah, we didn’t mind at the time, because conversation is about we can talk more without being afraid we do right or wrong. Yang penting ngomong. Benar salah, itu kan bisa dibenerin nanti.

Jadi, guruku ingat soal wonderwall dan bilang kalau wonderwall itu berasal dari kata wonder yang bisa diartikan “khawatir”. It means, wonderwall bisa dibilang oarng yang selalu kita khawatirkan. She gave us example about wonderwall.

Sebagai contoh, we met someone we didn’t know for the first time but after that meeting, kita selalu khawatir tentang orang itu.

Hmm, mungkin aku dapat tali merah dari arti wonderwall itu sendiri.

Karena kita khawatir, makanya kita selalu memikirkan orang itu.

Jadi, bicara soal wonderwall, aku punya orang seperti itu. Dan rasanya, sedikit menyakitkan karena bahkan aku belum lihat langsung orang itu—cuma lihat dari foto. My friends always think I’m absurd because of this situation. Tapi, bukankah orang lain enggak lebih baik mengenal kita ketimbang diri kita sendiri? Mereka hanya enggak tau, perasaan seperti apa yang coba aku atasi :)
